D&P recently completed a complete body-off the frame restoration of this beauty 1957 Chevy Belair Sedan for customer John B. The 1957 Chevy is one of the most iconic cars of all time, and over the last few decades D&P has built and customized a number of them.
The great part about building a classic car like this is that you know the look you’re after and you get to decide what components will be used in the build to get you there. John wanted a respectable amount of ‘go’ power on this machine and so we decided on a GM Performance ZZ383 small block crate V8 mated to a 700R4 transmission to get the job done. This classic engine puts down over 400hp and even more torque so it’s a solid stoplight sleeper.
Inside, we installed an air conditioning system and re-did the interior in a stunning deep tan leather. The whole project was built to John’s specs and he’s been enjoying it every since!
