D&P customer Bob always wanted a 1955 Nomad but it wasn’t until later in life that he had the time to track one down. After finding a good starter car Bob brought the Nomad to the crew at D&P for a few upgrades like modern power steering, disc brakes, and a new GM Crate engine. Bob drove the car for a few years and then decided he wanted to have his Nomad completely restored. So Bob went back to D&P and he and Darryl sat down and developed a game plan to build Bob the Nomad he always wanted. D&P then performed a complete body-off the frame restoration which included modernization. During the restoration D&P completely restored the body and chassis. The body was painted Viper red to match Bob’s wife Cathi’s 68 Camaro which was also built at D&P. After completion Bob has enjoyed his ride and has regularly driven the Nomad to car shows all over the west coast and won a number of awards.
