Trucks are part of American culture. They were built to be functional and haul loads. Most old trucks lived hard lives and served their owners well. This classic was an old farm truck from the south and still had lots of red Georgia clay on board. The new owner decided to have the truck modernized and upgraded with many of today’s upgrades so he brought the truck to D&P Classic Chevy in Huntington Beach, CA for a complete modernization.
A complete body-off the frame restoration was performed. This process included adding modern front and rear suspension; 4 wheel disc brakes; a GM Performance LS3 fuel injected crate engine; a 4L65E 4 speed automatic transmission; Vintage Air Conditioning; modern power steering and an Ididit tilt column, March Performance pulley system; Glide seat and custom leather interior, Auto Meter Gauges, custom wood bed, one piece windshield, power windows, Viper red base coat/clear coat PPG paint; and much more. This truck was built to be driven any where in comfort with total reliability and safety. It is driven regularly but is also a multi show winner.
