Greetings to all,
We hope you all have had a great summer, hard to believe it’s almost over. Last weekend we were at the Great Labor Day Cruise at the Orange County Fairgrounds. It was a great show but a little hot and humid for my taste. At least it stayed dry unlike Hot August Nights in Reno a few weeks ago.
Darrell Moore and his family and group of volunteers have done a great job of reviving the Labor Day Cruise toward bringing it back to it’s glory days. For those of you who have not attended the show you missed a great time. There’s a little something for everyone. They have camping, cruising, vendors, music, hundreds of hot rods and lots to do
On Saturday Sept. 28th the 14th annual Cruising for a Cure will take place at the OC Fairgrounds. Debbie Baker and her crew of volunteers do a great job putting on this mega show. The show is a benefit for Prostate Cancer Research and they offer free testing at the show. I have many personal friends whose initial cancer was detected a the show and the early detection probably helped save their lives. They normally get some 3500 cars at the show. This is one of the largest one day shows in the country. D&P has been a vendor and supporter of the show for all 14 years. If you can make it out to the show please stop by our vendor booth and say hi.
Summer is also the season when we drive our classics and hot rods the most. It is recommended that maintenance should be performed at least once or twice a year. Regular oil changes and tune ups help extend engine longevity. You should also check other maintenance items like hoses, belts, and tires on a regular basis. At D&P we always check these items at no charge when we perform oil and filter changes, feel free to schedule an appointment if it’s time for your annual check up.
Nick has recently updated our web site so if you haven’t checked out our site in a while take a look at the new and improved version. We are making good progress to get our customers cars up on the web.
We hope you and your families have a great holiday season and we look forward to helping you with all your automotive needs.
Thank-you for your years of support
Darryl, family & crew
