The owner of this clean little 1970 Chevy Nova recently purchased the car off of the internet. After receiving the car the owner decided he wanted more horsepower and drivability so he brought the Nova to D&P for mechanical modernization. D&P removed the tired 396 engine and Muncie 4 speed and replaced it with a brand new GM Performance over the counter ZZ427 big block. In addition to the new power plant D&P installed a new Tremec 5 speed TKO transmission package with a hydraulic clutch. The car was also a manual steering car and D&P installed power steering to allow the Nova to be a little easier to drive around town. The new 427 look right at home in the engine compartment but definitely is a lot more fun to drive with a lot more horsepower. The Tremec 5 speed provides better drivability on the freeway by reducing the RPM at freeway speed and reduce engine wear.
